Applications are invited from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for recruitment to the post of Plumber in the Primary - Skilled Service Category (PL3) of the Department of National Archives.

02. Service Conditions
- This post is permanent. Pensionable.
- The appointment is subject to a probation period of three years.
- Must pass the first efficiency bar examination within 03 years.

03. Monthly Salary Scale
According to Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025, (PL 03 - 2025) Rs. 42,780 – 10 x 490 – 10 x 540 – 10 x 590 – 12 x 630 - Rs. 66,540/=
The initial salary step is Rs. 42,780.00.
04. Recruitment Qualifications
(a) Educational Qualifications: Passed six subjects with credit passes in two subjects at the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in not more than two sittings.
(b) Vocational Qualifications: Having obtained a proficiency certificate not below NVQ Level 4 in Plumbing technology.
(c) Age: Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age on the closing date of applications.
05. Method of Recruitment
Recruitment will be made through a professional test and a structured interview to assess suitability.

07. Method of Application
Applications should be prepared on 8 ½" x 12" (A4) size paper. The completed application should be sent by registered post to reach the following address on or before **2026.02.27**:
"Director General of National Archives, Department of National Archives, Philip Gunawardena Mawatha, Colombo 07."
The top left corner of the envelope should clearly state **"Recruitment to Grade III of Plumber in Primary - Skilled Service Category of the Department of National Archives - 2026"**.
