Director , Assistant Director Government vacancies (April 2024)
VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) was established under Act No. 35 of 2002 as a multi-sector infrastructure regulator in the country. With the enactment of the Sri Lanka Electricity Act No. 20 of 2009, PUCSL became the economic, safety, and technical regulator of the Electricity industry.
PUCSL is seeking dynamic and result-oriented professionals to fill the following positions:
1) Director (Human Resources & Administration)
Reporting Relationship: Deputy Director General-Operations
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Human Resource Management from a recognized university by the UGC of Sri Lanka, or equivalent professional qualifications in Human Resource Management.
- A Post-Graduate Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 15 years of post-qualifying experience (from the graduation of Bachelor’s Degree) in Human Resources and Administration.
Age: Below 50 years
Salary: Approximately 300,000
2) Assistant Director (04 positions)
- Inspectorate
- Licensing
- System Studies
- Electricity Supply
(Assistant Director is the entry-level position in the PUCSL. Those who succeed in the recruitment process shall work in five divisions of the Commission on a rotation basis.)
Reporting Relationship: Director of the relevant division
Qualification & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree with first or second class upper, in Electrical Engineering/Economics/Public Policy/Statistics from a recognized university by the UGC of Sri Lanka.
- A Bachelor’s degree with second class lower or general pass in Electrical Engineering/Economics/Public Policy/Statistics from a recognized university by the UGC of Sri Lanka and 3 years of post-qualifying experience.
- Candidates wishing to apply for the Inspectorate and Licensing divisions must have at least an associate membership of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka.
- Having a fully or part-qualified in CMA, ACCA, CIMA, or CA would be an added advantage.
Age: Below 35 years
Salary: Approximately 140,000
