Indian Scholarship for Sri Lanka Estate Workers’ Education Trust (CEWET)



The Government of India provides scholarships to the children of estate workers in Sri Lanka for G.C.E. Advanced Level, Undergraduate courses, and Vocational/Technical education at Government Technical Colleges. Applicants who have passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level (with a minimum of 6 credit passes) or Advanced Level exams and are under 25 years old are eligible for this scholarship. 

The High Commission of India is inviting applications for these scholarships, and interested applicants can obtain application forms from the website www.hcicolombo.gov.in or physically from the High Commission or Assistant High Commission of India. 

The completed application form, along with photocopies of the birth certificate, result sheet of G.C.E 'O' or 'A' Level, the latest salary slip of parents, and the Estate Superintendent's certificate regarding parent's occupation, should be submitted physically or by post to 'Honorary Secretary, CEWET c/o High Commission of India, P.O. Box 882, Colombo-03' before April 29, 2023.
