The People's Republic of China is accepting applications from qualified Sri Lankans for the award of 36 postgraduate (Masters and PhD) scholarships for the academic year 2023–2024. Please visit the China Scholarship Council (CSC)
01. General prerequisites for eligibility
For Masters applicants:
(a) All candidates must be Sri Lankan citizens.
(b) Should hold a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field of study with a First or Second Class Upper from a university accredited by Sri Lanka's University Grants Commission.
(c) Must be under 35 years old on December 15, 2022.
(d) The applicant should have a good degree of English proficiency.
For PhD candidates:
(a) All candidates must be Sri Lankan citizens.
(b) Should hold a Master's degree from a university accredited by Sri Lanka's University Grants Commission in addition to a Bachelor's degree with a First or Second Class Upper in the relevant subject of study.
(c) Must be under 40 years old on December 15, 2022.
(d) The candidate must have a good level of English proficiency. Applicants who work for the government should submit their applications through the head of the institute; all other applicants should submit their applications directly.
During the study year, the student should be in good health and prepared to live in China.
