Qualifications:
- A Graduate of a recognized University with Tamil as a subject.
AND
- A Credit pass in English Language or Literature at the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination or should have passed the G.C.E. (Advance Level) or higher examination in the English medium.
Note: Ability to translate Tamil to Sinhala and Sinhala to Tamil and preference will be given to the candidates with proficient in all three languages – English, Sinhala and Tamil.
Salary Scale: Rs. 42885 – 18×660 – 54765 (Monthly) U-MN 3 (II)
(In addition to this salary University Grants Commission approved other allowances will be paid)
Method of recruitment: Selection will be made by written test and interview.
Conditions:
- Age should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years. (Age limit will not be applicable to those who are in the service of the University Grants Commission and the Higher Educational Institutions, Government Departments, Public Corporations and Statutory Boards.)
- Selected candidates will contribute 10% of their monthly salary to the universities’ Provident Fund while the employer will make a contribution of 8% will be credited to Universities Pension Fund and 7% to the Universities Provident Fund. In addition they will become contribute an amount equivalent to 3% of the salary to the Employees’ Trust Fund.
