Online art competition focused on the theme of peace
Who?
The competition is open to all Sri Lankan and Maldivian children from the ages of 6 to 15 years.
Three age categories:
- 6-8 years
- 9-11 years
- 12-15 years
All valid entries will receive a certificate of participation. The best three entries - one in each of the above categories - will be awarded with a certificate and an assortment of prizes (art supplies and more).
When?
- Launch of the competition: 1 April 2022
- Deadline for submissions: 28 April 2022
- Winners will be announced before 9 May 2022
Rules of competition:
- You must be 15 years or younger
- You can submit only one entry of original, creative, unassisted, hand-drawn artwork, created without using digital tools.
- Entries should be in JPEG format, with minimum 300 dpi, no smaller than 9x12 inches, and less than 2MB.
- Email an image of your entry to ArtForPeaceContest@gmail.com.
- Your submission email should include the following data:
- Your name
- Age
- Citizenship
- Country and town of residence
- Email address
- Contact phone number
- Entries must be received no later than 28 April 2022.
- Winners will be announced before 9 May 2022 and finalists will receive their awards at the EU day reception on 9 May 2022.
Entries that do not comply with the contest rules and submission requirements will not be taken under consideration.
Other details:
The EU and its partners may publicise entries received for the competition through social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and other mediums of publicity. Participation in the competition will mean that parents are giving their consent to use the names of the participants and their artwork for publicity.
The rights of the submitted artwork will be with the EU for a period of three months from the closing date for submissions of the competition.
In the event of any dispute regarding the competition, the final decision of the EU shall be binding and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

Please note, if you are selected as a finalist and/or winner of the contest, it may be necessary for the Administrators of the Contest to collect additional information specific to the event.
