1. Application Title and Description
The Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources is calling for applications for the Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the Post of Draftsman (Sri Lanka Technological Service) Grade III - 2026. The primary responsibilities of this position include preparing technical designs, architectural drawings, and cost estimates for building construction, renovations, and repairs, as well as managing bill verifications and equipment quotations.
2. Closing Date

3. Education and Other Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
- G.C.E. (A/L): Must have passed three subjects in a single sitting, with at least two subjects chosen from Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Combined Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Technology, or Science for Technology.
- G.C.E. (O/L): Must have passed six subjects in one sitting with credit passes for Sinhala/Tamil/English, Science, Mathematics, and one additional subject.
Other Qualifications:
- Professional: Successful completion of a Civil Technical course with a qualification level of NVQ Level 5 or higher.
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Character: Applicants must be of excellent character and physically fit to work in any part of the island.
4. Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age as of the closing date. Specifically, the date of birth should fall between February 13, 1996, and February 13, 2008.
5. Salary Scale
The position follows the MN 3-2025 salary code. The monthly salary scale is: Rs. 52,250 - 10 x 800 - 10 x 1,320 - 10 x 1,350 - 11 x 1,190 - Rs. 100,040.
