BA in English and English Language Teaching 2023 OUSL

The four-year special degree program for the B.A. in English and English Language Teaching includes coursework in Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching, Literature, and other areas of Education. It is intended for anyone who wants to start a career in English language teaching and, as such, calls for a thorough understanding of ELT theories.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Passed the OUSL Diploma in English Language & Literature (application required), Or
Possess a National Diploma in Teaching English (ESL) of 2 years' duration from a
National College of Education {NCOE), or
Possess any other recognized 2 year Teacher Training Qualification in Teaching English as a
Second Language acceptable to the CUSL Senate, or
- Passed three (03) subjects (including English Literature) at the G .C.E . (A/L) Examination or equivalent qualification, 

AND
All the applicants except those who passed the OUSL Diploma in English Language and
Literature are required to pass a selection test conducted by the Department of Language
Studies
