Advanced Certificate in Science Programme (ACS)
Duration:
- 1 year for Science students; 2 years for non-Science students

Program Overview:
- Designed to facilitate entry into higher studies, providing pathways to Bachelor of Degree, Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BIT), and Bachelor of Industrial Studies (BIS) programs.
- Courses align with Level 2 of the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF), equivalent to GCE (Advanced Level).
- Disciplines covered: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
Admission Requirements:
- Minimum six passes at G.C.E (O/L) including Mathematics and Science, or equivalent.
- Exemptions granted for Part 1 courses if subjects are covered in GCE (A/L).
- Applicants over 18 years of age eligible.
Eligibility for Degree Programs:
- For Bachelor of Science: Minimum three pass grades in GCE (A/L) in three science subjects or ACS completion.
- For Bachelor of Engineering Technology: ACS completion or three passes in GCE (A/L) in one sitting.
- For Bachelor of Software Engineering: Passes in any three GCE (A/L) subjects or completion of any Advanced Certificate program.
- For Bachelor of Industrial Studies (Textile/Agriculture): Specific subject passes in GCE (A/L) or ACS completion.
Finance Details:
- Application Fee: Rs. 500.00
- Tuition Fee per Credit: Rs. 1,300.00
- Facility Fee: Rs. 2,500.00
- Tuition fee can be paid in installments, with the first installment due at registration along with the registration fee and facility fee.
